When you face digestive issues, often the last thing you consider is the health of your gallbladder. This small organ, nestled beneath your liver, plays a crucial role in your digestive process by storing bile, a fluid produced by your liver to help digest fats. However, when things go awry, such as the development of gallstones or inflammation, you may encounter discomfort and other symptoms that can't be ignored. Gallbladder removal has become a necessary treatment for numerous individuals worldwide.

Your gallbladder is a small organ located beneath your liver. It stores bile, a fluid produced by your liver that helps in the digestion of fats. Like any other part of your body, can also fall prey to various health conditions. These health issues may sometimes require the removal of the gallbladder, a procedure medically known as a cholecystectomy.

Dear Dr. Reiner, It has been 10 years since you operated and performed a Whipple procedure on my mother for carcinoma of the pancreas. Since that time she has moved to Florida and has experienced the joy of six new grandchildren and untold happiness. Our thoughts are with you everyday and thank you for giving us our mother and grandmother for these many and more years. Sincerely,

Dear Dr. Reiner, I would like to thank you for your surgical care of my daughter. As you know , she is the joy of my life and the thought that I might lose her was too much for me to handle. Your surgical expertise and timely diagnosis made her well and brought her home to me. I found it so assuring the way you explained the situation, always answering all my questions with honesty and patience. Your warmth and caring for my daughter and my family will never be forgotten.

Dear Dr. Reiner, When I went to your office with my diagnosis of two inguinal hernias, I already had formed opinions of the discomfort, pain and limited activity I would suffer based on conversations with friends and co-workers. To hear you say I would be on a stationary bike or treadmill the day after my laparoscopic double hernia operation was to be frank unbelievable. However, I trusted you and was impressed by the length of time you spent explaining the procedure, going over all aspects of the surgery and recovery period. The day of the surgery came, and you made me feel at ease, told my wife what to expect and even called the night of surgery to see how I was doing. You even demonstrated exercises I needed to perform to lessen my discomfort and speed up my return to full activity. To say I was shocked is at a minimum , to find myself being able to get on and do a stationary bicycle the next day. Back to work on the third day after surgery and playing golf ( better than ever ) the following weekend . It is not often people live up to their promises , and you did. Thank you.

Good Morning Dr. Jacob, Well another year is here ,and to me this is a big one, it is 5 years since my surgery…I don’t think anyone could have convinced me then that I would be here and like this 5 years later…I am not going to say it was easy getting here but I did it…I do not regret one day on the way I learned so much about myself and the strength i have. So again thank you for being such a remarkable surgeon as i have said before I believe you were given a gift to be one…I also thank you for being there always with words of encouragement , I owe my life to you and it is a debt I don’t think I can ever repay…

I came away with today's visit quite satisfied and relaxed. My questions were answered in a clear, concise, caring manner, as I continue the post-op journey. I received good, pragmatic advice which I am able to use in daily functioning. Dr. Vine's office assistants were also very kind. It was a model visit, and once again, made me glad that I chose Dr. Vine as a surgeon. I wish other patients and doctors will replicate the knowledge, professionalism, and thoughtfulness which were characteristic of today's visit. I will certainly try to emulate this level of care with my patients.

Dr. Jacob, Thanks very much for an excellent procedure. From start to finish your staff was great. The pre- and post op nurses were excellent, and they even pushed me in a wheelchair to the parking garage! The anesthesiologist was excellent too… Thanks again for the professional service from all

Dr. Jacob I wanted to thank you for the excellent outcome of my hernia repair. You treated me with respect and care. The surgery went very well and now, at the two and a half week point after surgery, I can run, lift boxes, etc and don’t ever feel the repair. You are clearly very good at what you do. Also, I want to mention that the Midtown Surgery Center staff are very good and I would not hesitate to recommend the center to anyone. All in all, I feel that I got the very best care available today.

I approached Dr. Jacob to consult whether repair of my inguinal hernia with absorbable mesh was a viable option. It was not; he opined that a lap surgery with a regular mesh would be the best choice for my big hernia, assuming I can take a gen. anesthesia. Earlier I was considering traveling across the country to have a Desarda repair, but Dr. Jacob’s confidence, competence, and support made me trust his expertise and I am glad I did. The surgery was scheduled about three weeks later; his staff was very helpful. No pain pills were needed (not even one); the next day I easily walked four miles along the beach, and three days before the week was over I found myself running intervals for about 25 min. each (I don’t remember Dr. Jacob making any restriction on running). I am grateful to be a patient of Dr. Jacob.
